How to select a suitable hollow magnetic powder clutch?
Magnetic powder clutches transmit torque based on electromagnetic principles and magnetic powder. The excitation current is basically linearly proportional to the transmitted torque, and it can transmit fixed torque independent of slip difference. Featuring fast response, simple structure, pollution-free operation, low noise, no impact and vibration, and energy saving, it is a versatile and high-performance automatic control component.
Vehicles frequently shift different gearbox gears during driving to adapt to varying road conditions. Without a magnetic powder clutch to temporarily separate the engine from the gearbox, the engaged transmission gears inside the gearbox bear heavy pressure on meshing surfaces due to unremoved load, making gear separation difficult. Forced engagement will cause severe impact on gear teeth and easily damage mechanical parts.

With a magnetic powder clutch, gear shifting can be carried out after temporarily separating the engine and gearbox. The original engaged gear pair will bear greatly reduced pressure on meshing surfaces as the load is released, enabling easy separation. The other pair of gears to be engaged cannot mesh smoothly due to inconsistent peripheral speeds. After the driving gear is disconnected from the engine, its rotational inertia becomes low. Proper shifting operation can align the peripheral speeds of the gears to be meshed, so as to avoid or reduce gear impact.
